Elastic Cloud Solutions summarizes the successes of the passing year
At the beginning of 2018, Elastic Cloud Solutions was a small, few-person startup. Today their product is called one of the best intranets in the world. It is already used by 200,000 users. The company summarized the last 12 months and their path to business success so far.
Create a product, conquer the world
The basis for this young company was set by many years of experience of its founders, Łukasz Skłodowski and Grzegorz Ciwoniuk. They did dozens of dedicated deployments of systems that improved communication in large companies. They had a vision of a perfect platform. Implemented quickly, friendly to use, beautifully designed.
The system they created, Elastic Workplace, quickly achieved profitability. The small team from Bialystok city started to grow dynamically and gained clients from 40 countries around the world. Today, Elastic Workplace brand is mentioned among the most well-known suppliers of this type of software.
For us the previous year was for us a time of hard work on the product and on the first large implementations. But the satisfied customers were the biggest proof that Elastic Workplace is a great tool. But then we had – and we still have today – lots of ideas for improving it.

You did not have to wait long for the first distinctions that brought Elastic Cloud Solutions publicity. In 2018, the platform received, among others the international “Best Intranet Design” award granted by Nielsen Norman Group (for the implementation for PKP Energetyka), it was called the Polish Startup of the Year, won the Top Startup of Eastern Poland competition and got the title of the most innovative company in the Podlasie province.
It got also an honorable mention in PwC’s contest called “Polish Company – International Champion” for the successful acquisition of foreign clients. The history of the startup has been repeatedly mentioned by Polish media.
Digital workplace not only for the largest
However, it was not time to settle on their laurels. The number of inquiries grew, and more large organizations joined the clients of Elastic Cloud Solutions. Within a few months, the companies from the energy sector (eg PGNIG), media (Onet-Ringier Axel Springer Poland group) and financial (eurobank, PKO Bank Polski, German DVAG employing almost 40,000 employees) decided to implement Elastic Workplace.
The Białystok team grew from month to month to keep up with the market demand. New specialists joined them to improve the product. New departments appeared – coordinating research and development, implementation of innovations, marketing and administration.
Be a part of the community
Supporting new technology communities became an important mission for Elastic Cloud Solutions. The team participated in important industry events as well. They were a partner of European SharePoint, Office365 & Azure Conference in Copenhagen, took part in the Polish Economic Exhibition, European Collaboration Summit in Mainz, at the Nowy Przemysł Expo fair.
They appeared in the CEE Released finals on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, on Impact’18 in Krakow, and InfoShare in Gdańsk. They shared their experiences at the Cloud Expert Forum, during TweetUpMPIT at the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology and at “Startups in the Palace” meeting with the participation of Polish President Andrzej Duda. They were also invited to prestigious acceleration programs such as Startberry (supported by Senfino, Microsoft and EY), or MIT Enterprise Forum Poland (created with PKO BP bank).
New Year’s resolutions
Asked about plans for the future, the founders of Elastic Cloud Solutions agree that the top priority will always be to scale the product.
We focus on the development of our SaaS service. It allows the Elastic Workplace platform to be implemented even faster, regardless of the location or size of the client’s company. New functionalities are also emerging within the platform, the role of artificial intelligence is increasing, we are constantly working on even better usability. All this to make everyday work of our users easier and more enjoyable.
